First experiments on game-based learning EXPIRED

In January and February of 2016. modules for learning through games were developed and tested. The modules are placed within the inForm Author application (and are included into the existing Author learning lessons in the form of self-contained JavaScript applications, so-called "Author widgets"), enabling for easy creation of interactive and dynamic digital lessons. Four different modules were developed and tested: Basic Math module (module for practice of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division), Memory module, Pair Matching Game ("open Memory") and Simple Questions module.

Second round of experiments with gamification elements in digital lessons EXPIRED

On Thursday, 17. November 2016, a series of experiments on various gamification elements in digital learning lessons begun. The first experiment introduced points and a leaderboard, two of the three most common elements used in gamification (the third being badges). For the purpose of these experiments the existing Simple Adder module was adjusted and utilized. The application calculates current score of each student and displays the live leaderboard. One session lasted for 15 minutes.

First two-day SCOLLAm workshop EXPIRED

The first workshop of the SCOLLAm project was held on 21 and 22 March 2017. On 21 March the project activities were presented at the State county primary school teacher council organized by the Trnjanska primary school (around 140 teachers present), while on 22 March the project developments were presented to the entire teacher collective of the Trnjanska school (around 25 teachers present). During the workshop, teachers were surveyed on the project results and the discussions on possible improvements were held.

Teachers at the Croatian pedagogical-literature assembly EXPIRED

Primary school Trnjanska teachers presented their experiences in using tablet-computers and digital lessons on 29 March 2017 in Opatija, Croatia. The attendees were presented with the experience in using three types of lessons: gamification, collaborative and augmented reality lessons.
